Globalisation of the Danish media industry

The Ministry of Culture and the minister needed to be fully briefed ahead of the upcoming negotiations on media subsidies. The brief was to map how foreign technology companies affect the Danish media market.
As a journalist at the think tank Mandag Morgen, which had been commissioned by the Agency for Culture and Palaces, I was part of the group that discussed what the report should cover. I wrote two of the report's nine chapters: on ten of the most dominant international technology companies, from Facebook and Google to Netflix and Snapchat, and on the next technology trends in the media industry.
The report gave the ministry and the minister a comprehensive basis for the upcoming negotiations on media subsidies. Mandag Morgen, which produced the report, ran an article about it the same day.
